Job Title: IT Support Technician
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Rate: $26 – $28/hour
Work Arrangement: Onsite
We are partnering with an organization in the Phoenix area looking for an IT Support Technician to provide hands-on technology support across its workforce. This person will help keep employees productive by troubleshooting day-to-day technical issues, preparing equipment, managing user access, and supporting the systems and devices employees depend on.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving and working directly with users in a fast-moving environment. You’ll support employees across multiple locations, including office-based, remote, and mobile team members, while taking ownership of issues from initial request through resolution.
Your role:
Help Desk & User Support
- Provide frontline support for hardware, software, connectivity, login, and account-related issues
- Assist employees through phone, email, and in-person support
- Troubleshoot technical problems and resolve issues independently when possible
- Escalate more complex problems appropriately while staying involved through resolution
- Provide a positive and professional support experience for users with varying levels of technical knowledge
User Accounts & Access
- Create and maintain user accounts, permissions, and email access
- Support technology-related onboarding for new employees and offboarding for departing team members
- Assist with password resets, multifactor authentication, and general access requests
- Help ensure users have the appropriate access to systems and applications
Devices & Endpoint Support
- Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile devices
- Support Windows and macOS computers along with iOS and Android devices
- Troubleshoot workstation, mobile device, and Microsoft 365 issues
- Assist with ongoing device maintenance, replacements, and equipment setup
Asset Management & Documentation
- Maintain accurate inventory and assignment records for company technology
- Track equipment replacements, warranties, and device lifecycle information
- Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the ticketing system
- Maintain internal documentation and contribute to IT procedures and knowledge resources
IT Operations & Security
- Follow established IT processes and security standards when supporting users and systems
- Help maintain a secure, organized, and reliable technology environment
- Assist with endpoint and device management tools as needed
- Participate in an on-call rotation for technology issues outside of standard business hours
What you’ve got:
- 1-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a similar technical support role
- Experience troubleshooting Windows and macOS workstations
- Familiarity supporting iOS and Android mobile devices
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including user accounts, email, and identity services
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify problems and work toward effective solutions
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly around documentation and asset management
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical users
- Customer-focused approach with a willingness to take ownership of issues through completion
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday during standard business hours and participate in an after-hours support rotation
- Ability to safely move, install, and set up computer equipment as needed
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud-based endpoint or device management platforms
- Exposure to IT asset management and ticketing systems
- Familiarity with endpoint security and identity management tools
- Experience supporting users across multiple locations or a distributed workforce
- A curious, team-oriented mindset with an interest in continuing to learn and develop technical skills
