Our client is seeking an Interface / Integration Analyst to serve as a critical link between business stakeholders, government agencies, and software development teams. This individual will be responsible for analyzing, documenting, and coordinating complex system interfaces that support mission-critical public services.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with a solid understanding of systems integration, data exchange methods, and technical requirements gathering. This role will play a key part in ensuring that information flows accurately, securely, and efficiently between numerous internal and external systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive inventory of system interfaces and integrations.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for new and existing interfaces.
- Create detailed interface specifications, process flows, user stories, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, external agencies, and software development teams to define integration requirements.
- Evaluate and recommend appropriate integration approaches, including APIs, web services, FTP/SFTP, batch processing, and real-time messaging.
- Facilitate discussions between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding.
- Assist with integration testing, validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Document data mappings, business rules, workflows, and interface dependencies.
- Support ongoing modernization and integration initiatives across multiple systems and agencies.
Examples of Supported Integrations
This role will help coordinate and document interfaces supporting a variety of business-critical functions, including:
- Real-time driver’s license and driving record inquiries by law enforcement agencies.
- Data exchanges with government agencies providing status updates that impact licensing eligibility.
- Real-time driving record verification services used by commercial organizations.
- Compliance and monitoring integrations involving ignition interlock devices and related reporting systems.
- Driving record and violation reporting interfaces utilized by insurance providers and other authorized entities.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Integration Analyst, Technical Analyst, or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into detailed technical documentation.
- Experience writing user stories, functional requirements, process flows, and interface specifications.
- Working knowledge of system integration concepts and data exchange methodologies.
- Familiarity with APIs, REST services, FTP/SFTP, web services, XML, JSON, and related integration technologies.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external agencies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting government, transportation, licensing, or highly regulated environments.
- Understanding of real-time transaction processing and large-scale data exchange ecosystems.
- Experience participating in system modernization or digital transformation initiatives.
